Planetary Combat
Once players land on a planet, combat can shift to the ground, where players face hostile alien creatures or enemy factions. The combat system on planets is a hybrid of strategy and action:
Strategy: Players need to plan their approach based on the terrain, enemy behavior, and objectives. They can set up defensive positions, use terrain for cover, and deploy traps or environmental hazards to gain an advantage. Tactical thinking is essential, as planetary environments can vary greatly—some planets may have hostile weather conditions, low gravity, or toxic atmospheres that influence how combat plays out.
Action: On the ground, combat takes on a more visceral, hands-on approach. Players can engage in firefights with alien forces or hostile factions, using a wide array of weapons such as rifles, grenades, and melee tools. Additionally, the player’s ability to take cover, aim accurately, and manage resources like ammunition becomes crucial during these intense encounters.
